What is Overflow Today?
The best ideas from the best books on evangelism in the world.
Overflow Today is a free 3 to 5 minute video/audio podcast for Christians which teach us how to naturally “overflow” into our non-Christian friends’ lives with the gospel. Each show is different and brings new and helpful ideas. Topics include: how to transition to talking about Jesus; intellectual answers to objections about our faith; and many more. From answering questions, to removing doubts, Overflow Today seeks to give you confidence and connect you better with non-believers.
Where did the idea for Overflow Today come from?
Many Christians feel intimidated or unequipped to share their faith with friends. Sometimes they are even told that they can’t talk about their relationship with God either directly or indirectly by our culture and media. Most of us have heard the words “It’s not my gift.” Or, “I don’t have all the answers.” Our goal with Overflow Today is to leave you feeling more confident and to give you some fresh ideas to communicate your faith.
But with all the responsibilities and demands in our lives today, who has time to read all the great books on evangelism? There is so many terrific ideas out there, and great approaches from authors like Lee Strobel, JP Moreland, Bill Hybels, Greg Koukl, Mark Mittelberg, Paul Copan, and the list goes on. We encourage you to look up books from these authors and others like them on your own, and at the same time we have provided you some nuggets to jump start your evangelism efforts right now. Overflow finds those ideas and makes them accessible by serving them up in 3 to 5 minute podcasts available to the church worldwide.
Solid, logical responses to virtually everything that our culture throws at you. So what are the 20 or 30 concepts that are holding us back from witnessing? Overflow addresses these concepts so that you see your faith as more relevant, loving, and intellectually sound. With new confidence and new ideas on how to love others and share God’s love, you’re back in the mix.
